For the third time this season, the Morton girls basketball team faced off with Washington.
And for the third time the Potters came away with a win, this time 47-35 in the semifinals of the Class 3A Bloomignton Regional on Tuesday.
The top-seeded Potters used 13 points from Sarah Livingston and 11 from Chandler Ryan.
?They really brought it,? Morton coach Bob Becker said. ?We rose to the occasion and had a good win.?
Hayley Reneau led the Panthers (20-8), with eight points.
Morton (26-5) will face No. 5 seed Normal U-High in Thursday?s 7:30 p.m. title game.
The Pioneers upset regional host Bloomington Central Catholic 47-46.
AT DUNLAP: Fourth-seeded Geneseo upset No. 1 seed Galesburg 55-49 behind 17 points from Jamie Defauw. Darci Dietrich scored 11 in the fourth quarter for the Maple Leafs.
Rock island Alleman beat host Dunlap 47-39 to advance to face Geneseo.
The Eagles led 26-14 at halftime but were shutout in the third quarter as Alleman scored 16 unanswered points.
Kristeen Morgan led Dunlap with 10 points.
Class 4A
AT RICHWOODS: Olivia Elger scored 18 points and Brenna Detra 14 for the host Knights in a 51-34 victory over Moine.
Richwoods led by five at the half but then outscored Moline 16-5 in the third quarter.
The No. 1 seeded Knights will play No. 3 East Moline, a 63-52 winner over Rock Island, in the title game at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
