For last minute flights: The Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Premier Card from Chase

  • Cash back for those 50+: Cardholders earn 3 percent cash back on all travel purchases and 1 percent cash back on all other purchases ? with no limits on the amount of cash back you can earn ? and no annual fee.
  • Sign-up bonus: Cardholders receive $100 cash back with their first purchase.

Looking to redeem on a hotel room: The Marriott Rewards Premier Visa Signature Card from Chase

  • Sign-up bonus: Cardholders receive 50,000 bonus points after their first purchase.
  • Zero foreign transaction fees: Cardholders can save up to 3 percent compared to fees many other issuers charge.
